Spring 2013

I have gotten behind in posting lately.  We are very active, especially during this great weather.  Here is some of what we have been up to the past few weeks.

Being just about the most adorable thing you have ever seen.  (And, no, I didn't do anything to alter this photo at all... just beautiful green grass and a perfect contrasting purple dress.)

Picking flowers...

"Going back to sleep" in our sleeping bags from Grandma (Daddy always gets up early with us and lets Mommy "sleep in" until 7:30ish)...

Playing our first game with Daddy...

Meeting the CFA cow...

Riding in a perfectly designed shopping cart for three kids (thanks, Whole Foods!)...

Riding the train at the science museum (I think he likes it?)...

Believe it or not, Evelyn also likes the train but apparently the tunnel freaks her out a little...

Exploring museums with our friends...

Doing a pancreatic cancer walk with our friends...

Building tents in the family room...

Rolling like crazy but still no crawling...

Our first game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos...

Channeling our inner Diego and staying sane...

Drawing our first happy faces (or ghosts? - these were courtesy of Vivienne)...

Picking strawberries...

Learning about buoyancy in the post-rain sunshine...

Getting stuck under the sofa (she only crawls backwards)...

Sitting in the yard with our friends...

More rides on the trains (can you tell we like trains?)...

First face painting...

Walks with Daddy after work (about a mile every day, one of our favorite things, even better than the trains)...

  1. Wait, daddy *always* gets up early with the kids? Back off there, Jason...you are giving the rest of us a bad name.

  2. He actually does it every single day. I especially appreciated it this morning when the big kids got up at SIX AM (ugh).

  3. Well, Leslie *always* gets up to breast feed Evelyn during the night. So it all shakes out. Evelyn hopefully turned over a new leaf and is starting to sleep very well through almost the entire night (last night she slept till 5:30 AM, fed, and then slept till 7:30).

But there were long stretches where she was doing three feedings a night. And since I am no help in the breast feeding department, I help where I can :)

  4. Sleeping til 7:30 is such a treat! Isn't it funny how you never would have thought that three or four years ago? You guys have been so active and doing so much fun stuff! I should let mine do tents...good idea for a rainy day.
