I'm sure that I was tiny once. I guess I was a tiny baby about 31 years ago. In the last 31 years, I do not remember anyone ever calling me tiny. Never...
...until I got pregnant. Over the past couple of weeks, I have had at least 5 people tell me that I look "tiny" for carrying twins. On the other hand, I have had a couple people have a response like,"Wow, you're only at 19 weeks?! Looks like you're in for a hard pregnancy," (because they're used to singleton moms at 19 weeks who are much smaller).
I guess I should just relish in the idea of people calling me tiny, even though the scale said 173 this morning. I was joking with Jason last night that I should go on the Bigger Loser pregnant... though I guess having a baby is a "cheating" way to lose weight. ;-)
Reading your blog is fun! I want to make my blog cool like yours! I need a lesson! Maybe in a week or so when you guys come out here!!!! YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteAmanda had comments that ran the gamut too...from people who thought she must be due any day, to people who thought she was just barely showing...all in one trip to Target.
ReplyDeleteHere's a question, though...have strangers started to take liberties with your belly yet? I found it crazy how people thought that it was ok to just walk up and put their hand on my wife's stomach just because she was pregnant. Not only is that my wife's belly, but my baby is in there!
No strangers have touched my stomach yet. Everybody else touches it, and it doesn't bother me yet. I'm sure that can get really awkward with total strangers. I do think it's interesting how people look at it all the time instead of looking me in the face, but I guess I should get used to people staring at the babies from now on. =)
