Book Wreath

I don't remember where I first saw a book wreath online (Pinterest?  Blogs?), but I knew I wanted to try making one as soon as I saw it.  I know the first blog tutorial I read was at Living with Lindsay.  So, this week, I finally gave it a go.  It was very easy to do and ridiculously cheap.  I think I paid maybe $5 total for this (just the cost of the wreath form, which I bet you could find a lot cheaper than that).

The only thing that I might do differently next time is to be sure that I have a book with enough pages to make a complete wreath.  I started with a book that was too small, then had to use an additional book to finish it out.  That's why the outer "leaves" are brighter white than the middle.  I think it turned out really well, though, and the two-tonedness (is that a word?) actually looks kind of cool.

  1. That looks really cool! I think the slight gradation in the color makes it more artistic. Very impressed at both your skills and ability to find time for it.
