Car Seats

This past weekend, we finally got around to installing the car seats in the Rav4.  Right now, we're using the LATCH system and putting one seat behind the passenger side and one seat behind the driver side.  We have to have the front seats pulled very far forward, but we can still manage to drive the car.  It's pretty clear that we will not be going on any road trips with these babies unless we rent something larger.  I'm just not ready to buy another car (minivan) yet.  We just bought this one used about a year and a half ago, and I really like it.  We'll see how long that lasts.  =)

Soon there are going to be two babies riding back there.

I think I'm going to have some strong biceps after these babies get here!

  1. Come on over to the mini-van side. The brand that brought you your Rav-4 has a pretty sweet van. And have you seen this?

Proof positive that a Sienna is cool!

Oh, and yes, you are gonna have some rockin' biceps!

  2. I agree with Kristi. As a matter of fact, if I were getting another car, I would get the Sienna minivan. I know, I know, they're not seen as cool, but I like all the room and the passenger capability. But..........it's nice to have a car you really like already! Hey, I just thought of something, with a minivan, you could get the babies in and out easily on one side while the car is parked in the garage! Of course, it's your decision. Love you!

  3. We ran into the same problems with my RAV4. Don't worry there are lots of work arounds, you do not need a new car. You can strap the car seats in without the base and it gives you lots more room. New car seats are a lot cheaper than a new car. Plus you only have to tough this out for a year, the forward facing car seats fit just fine.
