Miles and Vivienne's very favorite thing to do is going to the pool. Vivienne will often bring me her swimsuit and puddle jumpers (floating device) in the middle of the day and say, "Pool. Pool." That girl loves going to the pool, and her brother does as well. We take snacks, sunglasses and lots of sunscreen and always enjoy at least an hour (sometimes two) of swimming time.
They particularly love it when Daddy can go with us. Jason swam a few laps for them one day, and they were mesmerized. Miles, in particular, loves to see his daddy swim. No matter what stroke Jason is doing, when he gets to the end, Miles will say, "More! More!" (My mom was joking that Miles would probably make a great swim coach.) When Jason does the butterfly, Miles will say, "Fly! Fly!" It's adorable.
I'm so thankful that we have a little pool here in our subdivision where the kids can learn to love the water. It seems pretty clear that we have two little fishes on our hands, and hopefully soon we will have three.
