No Longer Vegetarians
Miles and Vivienne had their first taste of meat yesterday. The night before, I poached some chicken thighs and pureed them. It ended up looking like (and smelling like) wet cat food. Mmm! The baby food books recommend that you use dark chicken meat because it has a higher fat content. Last night, I mixed prunes, kale and the pureed chicken together. I sampled it myself before feeding it to them, and it wasn't terrible, but it wouldn't be my first choice for dinner. Surprisingly, the babies ate it up! Lately they have been willing to eat pretty much anything, though Miles still isn't a huge fan of green beans.
